Buffers: Store acquired buffers as typed fields in cdef classes + global variables

Title says it all.

One could really just access the data outside of the function without worrying about performance as a good start; and tell users to copy it into local scope for speed (manually, though without reacquisition -- which is not possible today).

#299 would help with this.
